Bloody nightmare, rung up 4 a delivery and the guy seemed distant and talking to someone else, next he takes my phone number and address, then goes quiet i kept thinking the phone cut off, then someone dialed a number on the takeaway fone, and all i heard was it ringing, i said i fink ur calling sum1 else, he replied he will call me back, i put the fone down, i got a call back, he said its the card machine interfering, i placed my order, adding rice that i wont eat to boost the order for delivery, as its 3 pound to my area, i asked how much will it be and got no response, i asked again and the guy apologized as he was obviously busy with something else, i figured its been to long to make this order, and too much hassle so i didnt bother to go ahead with the order, so didnt taste the food, but to be honest id rather give my money to a street begger .

With friends, 14th June 2013. Nice atmosphere, fast service. Meal order taken in the huge leather lounge area, seated when ready. An excellent evening meal.

Was there today (12th June 2013) with my girlfriend, her mother and step father as well as our 8 month old baby. The staff were very helpful, courteous, and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and not over the top like some places I know back down in Oxford. The food was something else, I have eaten in plenty of curry houses across Kent, Oxfordshire and London, this was my first since moving to Lancashire and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The Desi Garlic Chilli I had was just below a madras in terms of heat but in terms of flavor it was fantastic. The rest of the group had a chicken korma, mixed tandoori and a chicken tandoori and they were all just as flavorsome. Would I be going back again? certainly. Would I recomend it to anyone? If you like a good relaxed atmosphere and have a family or going as a work group then yes. But bear in mind that it is out in the sticks a bit (compared to London I mean) so if you want a beer then have a designated driver, he can have the becks blue as its non alcoholic and tastes just like normal becks. I have a feeling that a couple of reviews on here might be from rival restaurants as I can find no basis for their reviews that rate it so poorly. Oh and also its got a 5 rating on hygiene. Certainly a good place for a very good curry.

Being single I visit the spice lounge at varied times of day and night. I have even been there on Christmas day ; From entering, to leaving, I have to praise all aspects you could hope for. Entrance, waiting, dining, service and price. Their standards and quantity have not changed, so I will always be a frequent well fed visitor.
