Castle Rock Hostel

Excellent location, very friendly people who'll help you at any time, cheap price for the quality you get. If I go back to Edinburgh one day, this will be the place I'll be staying at, without a doubt.

Spend a few days in the Castle Rock when arrived to work in Edinburgh. Awesome friendly staff that even gave us some tips to find a place to stay. Great common room with a proper fireplace, huge windows and nice couches. You can even help out in cleanings and stuff if you want free accommodation. Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Pool table and free wifi as well. Thanks guys.

Excellent hostel in an excellent location! Cool medival theme and suits of armor to see :) Good deal on the rooms as well. Common room for lounging around is very impressive. Breakfast is a little weak, but better than nothing.

Awesome place! Cozy bedrooms (funny names for each room and beds!), lockers, kitchen, free tea and hot chocolate, dinning room and living room in a perfect castle style! It's almost a perfect castle to spend your time in Edinburgh!

Dreadful experience. I rarely leave reviews but this place was terrible. As a woman, being woken up at 1am by one of the male staff pulling the duvet off was a truly scary experience, and was due to a mistake (not mine!) in bed allocation. Do not go here, especially if you are a woman who values her safety! Overpriced and overrated.
