Black Dog, 19 Watergate, Grantham

Went yesterday, and the board outside said food 12-7. We went in about 5pm, the oaf of a barman said the kitchen was shut and that they only did food til 6. I pointed out the time was actually only 5 and he exclaimed that he'd already done 100 meals today and the kitchen was in a state. He was actually a lot ruder than what I've written, how on earth someone with such terrible social skills has a job working with the public is beyond me. I'd not been in the Black Dog for about 10 years prior to yesterday's brief visit, but I can honestly say I will not be heading back for at least another decade.
