I`ve been to the Black Dog a few times now and will be going again. We had pre-booked because this time there was a party of 12 of us and we wanted to sit together if possible.On arrival we were led to our table by Shaun the pleasant young chap who runs the pub. The menu has a wide choice of dishes so there was something for everyone. They pride themselves here with making sure every ones courses are served at the same time and the dishes are served to perfection. Anyway the food was great, the beer was real and the hospitality from the staff was outstanding. Watch out for some of the great deals that include a free drink. For those of you who want your food thrown at you as soon as you arrive keep visiting McDoughnuts for those who like to make a meal a social event get down to the Black Dog and make an evening of it

New landlord since november 2010 has returned the pub back to the good old days. Food was excellent an helping were more than generous will definately be taking the family there more often
