What happened this airport? Poor shops. Poor restaurants. Staff act like your inconveniencing them by being there. Of review the bars individually but they are not listed on Google maps. The lagan bar was a particular disappointment. No staff so left standing at bar. When they appeared the served the customer that had archived after me. Fair enough. That can happen. When it came my turn he barked at me from the other end of the bar. "What do you want?" I was not sure he was talking to me, being that he was some six foot away from me. A glance over confirmed he was expecting me to order in this manor. I said I was wanting to order and he demanding I go to him rather than he take the for steps to disk directly to me. I asked where is find alternative drinking establishment. Fed & watered was more pleasant. I'll be avoiding Belfast international airport in the future.

I flew from Manchester to Belfast which was an internal flight within the UK. The security staff were polite enough The transport links to Belfast are pretty expensive ( its £10 for a return bus into the center of Belfast )Facilities at the airport are okay, its not a Hugh airport but it does have a Burger king/ WHSmiths and a duty free area . At security I quickly showed them my boarding pass and driving licence (again , internal flight so didn't need a passport) and I was through in a couple of minutes. Its a pretty small airport where most of the flight are to EU destinations, strange why they even have a duty free shop when you can only get true duty free when traveling outside of the EU.

The only organisation who could give us information as to what arrangements were in place to transport passengers back to Dublin after a flight was diverted to Belfast. We are a coach company and had our coach waiting in Dublin with no information forthcoming from the airline either by phone or on the website. The airline were not contactable and the passengers knew little. Full marks to BIA for having someone to answer the phone outside normal business hours.

Not much going on here..... at least on the arrival side. Signage is a bit confusing and you have to search a bit for the way out. This airport is not in the center of the city, but about half an hour away. At least there's a bus you can catch right out the front door. It's about 7.50 pounds for the ticket which can be purchased at the tourist info booth. They do take plastic at the counter, but not on the bus. The tourist counter does not take Euros either, .... they require Sterling! Upon arrival early in the morning, I walked right past three guards chatting ..... they did not even stop to scan my luggage..... that would have interrupted their conversation!
